Three children die in Lagos fire

Three children of the same parent have died after suffering severe burns from an inferno that razed their apartment in Ikotun Egbe area of Lagos on Tuesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the children died in hospital.
One of the children died on Tuesday night, while the other two died on Wednesday.
The children, who were under 10 years, were identified as Chiamaka, Emmanuel and Chiagozie Ifediba.
The fire which started at about 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday was caused by power outage inside their single room apartment at No.15 Ikuna Street, Liasu Road, Ikotun Egbe.
“One died at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday and the second one died 12. 30 a.m. on Wednesday, ‘’ a family source told NAN, adding that their father was deceased.
The source said the children’s mother, Mrs. Ngozi Ifediba, was not at home when the fire started.
