Anti-Arsenal protest cancelled after fewer than 10 people turn up

A protest in Chile to encourage forward Alexis Sanchez to leave English clubside Arsenal FC, which was supposed to attract 14,000, was only attended by a handful of people.
Thousands had signed up on Facebook to attend Wednesday’s event, but fewer than one per cent arrived at the meeting point.
The organisers in Santiago claimed that Chileans were tired of watching one of their stars work alone.
Sanchez is yet to sign a new deal with the Gunners and is reportedly set for a move away from the Emirates.
The number of people who attended the protest is reported to have been between five and eight.

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
