"We Shall Return" By Oluyide Aanuoluwapo

WE SHALL RETURN When the sun is no more Shining and the moon is No more Glowing, We shall return. When the wind is no more Blowing and the earth is No more whirling, We shall return. When fathers are no more Spanking and Mothers refrain from indulging, We shall return. When the widow is no more blamed For her husband's Death And shaved of her precious Hair, When she no longer has to Sweat and drink the Bathwater of the Dead, We shall return. When governors put their Fangs back into its Place, And Presidents withdraw their Pangs into its Space, We shall return. When poverty evaporates to the world of no return, Death to the Hades where it belongs, When Zeus return to preside over the Waters And Poseidon Marches over to the Seas, We shall return. We shall return to the old new Ways, We shall return to the good old Days, And when the world is not world anymore, We shall gladly return.
