*OAU LOSES FINAL YEAR STUDENT*

A final year student of Obafemi Awolowo University loses her life in a motor accident this evening at the popular Mayfair bus-stop in Ife.

Ebenezer Chiwendu who was popularly known as Wendy was a student of the department of management and accounting. She was at her last phase of becoming an accountant.

According to an eye witness report, she was brought to the university's health center by a man who saw her by the road side but on getting to the health center it was discovered that it was too late to revive her as her heart has been crushed beyond repair by the bus.

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
