Kajuru constituents get scholarships

Member representing Kajuru constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Samuel UbankatoTanko has given out scholarships to students of his constituency.
A statement from his Ubankato Development Foundation made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Sunday said the scholarships are meant for students who have demonstrated educational mindedness and academic brilliance to study in any tertiary institution of higher learning.
Eligibility for the scholarship include: "applicant must already be admitted into higher institution, must be an indigene of Kajuru local government area and must have an admission letter and payment of admission receipts.
"The time frame for forms collection is November 13-19, 2017 while screening commences on November 20 - 24, at CDI, Maraban Kajuru.
nterested applicants according to the statement are expected to obtain free forms from the Scholarship Committee members at Ubankato’s constituency office at Kasuwan .
Ubankato who is the minority whip in the Assembly called on indigenes of Kajuru to take advantage of the golden opportunity, which he said is part of his constituency projects.

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
