Fayose escapes fire accident in Lagos

Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, escaped a fire accident involving his Merecdez  G Wagon in Lagos, on Tuesday.

According to Lere Olayinka, his spokesman, Fayose ought to have been in the car but  “by providence, he was not there”.

Olayinka said the cause of the fire was unknown.

“There was an accident involving Ekiti state governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose’s vehicle on his way to the airport yesterday,” Olayinka said.

“Though he was meant to be in the vehicle, by providence, he was not there.

“What caused the sudden fire under the vehicle is yet to be ascertained.

“The governor is grateful to God that no casualty was recorded. He also thanked the people who made spirited efforts to put out the fire.”

On Monday, Fayose joined some of his colleagues for a meeting of all southern governors.
