The National Coordinator of Oodua Peoples Congress, Otunba Gani Adams will be formally installed as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba Land on 13 January, 2018 in Oyo town, Oyo State.

Femi Adepoju, Director of Media And Communication, Femi Adepoju, Otunba Adams who announced this in a statement on Sunday added that programmes for the installation program would be announced at a later date.

“The palace of the Alaafin Of Oyo, Iku Babayeye Ikeji Orisa, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has scheduled the installation ceremony of the Aare Ona Kakanfo-designate, Otunba Gani Adams as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo for January 13 2018,” Adepoju said in the statement.

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
