Criteria for the nominations

1. The best News Agency in campus Editorial must have had an editorial published in a newspaper or the Agency's website between Jan 1 and December 31,2017, which (Link) must be sent to  acjoau2015@gmail.com

2. The reporter must be an undergraduate and must be reporting for a well known media house both within and outside Campus and have his/her  recent work published (Link) sent to acjoau2015@gmail.com

3. His/her article must have featured in at least one magazines and also published in a newspaper or News Agency official website. This must be forwarded to acjoau2015@gmail.com for confirmation.

4. The journalist must be a graduating student in the year 2016/2017 academic session and have his/her and most have contributed to the development of campus journalism in one way or the other.

5. Most influential campus journalists must be known for good conduct and outstanding behavior...

6. Outstanding  female campus journalists must have spent a minimum of one year as a journalist and also have his/her work published in any newspaper in the country or Campus News Agency official website.

7. A Veteran journalist must be a newly graduating student or presently  in his/her finals. He/She must have  covered a riot or chaos  on campus which must be sent to acjoau2015@gmail.com

8 & 9.Most handsome and beautiful  campus journalist must be an undergraduate between 200L to 500L with good oratory and writing skill

10. Most supportive campus journalism body must have contributed to the growth of journalism amidst campus journalists in Nigeria. All activities done by such body should be written, well typed and sent to acjoau2015@gmail.com

11.Outstanding campus cartoonist must have pictures and  cartoons  related to socio-politcal and educational issues on Campus. A nominated candidate must not submit nothing less than three pictures each and have them sent to acjoau2015@gmail.com.

12. Most supportive campus journalism body must have organised at least  a conference or a convention for the growth of journalism amidst campus journalists in Nigeria. Institutions that participated in the program must not be less than twenty and their data sent to the mail.

13. Best Agency in sport entertainment should have their recent story published sent to the gmail for confirmation.

14.Best News Agency on campus must be a registered member of Association of Campus Journalists OAU

15. Such an Editor must be a graduate or an undergraduate and must have published an editorial in any Nigeria newspaper or campus news agency website and have it sent to acjoau2015@gmail.com

16. He/She must have actively served the association as an executive for the year 2016/2017 academic session of the administration.

17. The journalist must be well known for his active contributions towards the association for the 2016/2017 academic session.

18. ACJ man of the year must be a registered member who has worked passionately for the growth of the administration for the year 2016/2017 academic session.

19.  ACJ Alumnus of the year must have  actively and financially supported  the association in year 2017.

20. ACJ OAU new comer must be a newly minted fresh student of the University who has participated actively in the affairs of the association .

Lastly, nominees are expected to pay token of N500 for acceptance of nominations which voting process will be done via ACJOAU instagram handle

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
