Elections are drawing closer everybody is clamouring for change of government both at the federal level and State Yet Political Apathy is the issue of the day, Some people will sit down at their comfort zones and wait for the Change to come. How will there be Change when it's not spontaneous, the change begins with you and me, by voting out those we feel are not worthy to be there, exercise Your political right. For those who have not gotten their Voter's Card you can start the process today and get it before the exercise ends as a good citizen and an ambassador for 'Positive Change'.

During Goodluck Jonathan's led administration If we recall, when the Book Haram sect kidnapped the Chibok girls and US government tried to interpose by sending there military Intelligence here, and Jonathan with is maradonic behavior rejected the offer, saying they are not terrorist that they are just religious group and he went ahead to pay most of our General Overseers, Clerics and Other religious leaders to pray 'to there God and gods' for the release of the girls, maybe if the US had come then the sect may had been cleared by then but let's not go by such mistake again, there's a say heaven help those who help themselves, let's start the move let's be involved in Politics to change the system everything is not just praying and hoping alone let's be actively involved.

Infact according to Nigeria Costitution the minimum criteria for a Local Chairman is Primary 6 certificate, For a state governor Jss3 certificate and for any presidential candidate is Ssce, why not when most of our learned Professors, masters holder, doctors(Ph.d holders) are not interested in politics. How are we going to move forward, though most times it doesn't take certificate to rule but yet it widened someone scope somehow, one will be more exposed, Let's go back to the Memory Lane, when Buhari assumed office, especially when the issue of fuel scarcity and fuel subsidy was trending, Buhari was asked about the issue and His response was that he knows nothing about fuel subsidy( He doesn't know what it means) that he's going to ask Ikechukwu who is the Minister of Petroleum, State can you imagine a president saying that. When choosing a leader let's note those vital points

Another issue to be discussed is the issue of not knowing what is really best for us as an electorate. During the last election held in Ekiti, although the election was filtered by various allegations of rigging, it was witnessed that all the campaign promises made Fayose was centered on what he himself call 'Stomach Structure', only on food and that of the incumbent Governor was on general welfare and just because Fayose shared Stipends and Rice, Dr Fayemi was forgotten. Also I heard a report from an Indigene an Ekiti that during a reelection into the lower chamber of the law making house (House Of Rep ), there is this man who was a philanthropist he had numerous scholarship scheme for the people of his area also welfare packages for widow and orphans and when this bye-election came by he was advised to contest for the love of his people under the aegis of PDP, after getting the ticket to contest, according to the report Gov. Fayose paid him a visit that he should step down that He had a candidate, also offered him millions if he accepts but the man refuse after numerous attempt to stop the man the man defect to Labour Party since he knew the love the people had for him. When the day of election came PDP came although it was sponsored by Fayose, they promised who so ever vote for PDP a sum of  #3,000 whereas the other man did not offer anything at the end of the election PDP candidate emerged and according to our source the man is a professor and the other guy who later won is just a primary Six certificate holder who can't even construct a simple sentence in English. It's in this same Ekiti that the governor will eat from road side canteen and after eating offer the shop owner whitd collar job, drink palm wine with jobless men et al. As an agent for change if we really want the resolution to happen we need to stand out grounds despite all odds.

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
