I'm here to get first hand information says OAU VC By Olaiya Lateef K The Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo paid a 'surprise visit' to Adekunle Fajuyi Hall of Residence, the Hall is one of the male hostels in the University. Prof. Ogunbodede who led some principal officers of the school including the Dean of students' affairs, Prof I. A Aransi to the hall of residence at about 5pm on Monday, The VC and his team were spotted at block 3 of the aforementioned Hall. The professor of Dentistry  and his team were taken to a couple of places by the Hall Warden which need urgent attention particularly a spot where block 3 power supply is stationed, while inspecting the poor state of the spot, and the danger it might pose on the residents of the hall, The VC directs the Engineer, Mr Adeyeye to do the right thing. While leaving the spot, about four journalists including the ACJ President, Mr Ogundokun Doyinmola met the Vice - Chancellor and some burning questions were asked ...

OAU : Management introduces new course

The management of Obafemi Awolowo just introduced new course, and the opportunity is opened to new students. The  information on the eportal goes thus ; "Special Opportunity to Request Change of Course to B.Sc. Entrepreneurship and Industrial Extension The University is providing an opportunity for suitable and qualified PART-1 students who have already secured admission to the University for other courses to apply for a change of course to the above mentioned program. Qualified candidates must possess O'Level credits at not more than two sittings in the following subjects: (i)    English Language and Mathematics, plus (ii)   One Social Science subject (Economic/Government/Geography) (iii)  Any two from (Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Agricultural Science/Literature-in-English/Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa/CRK/IRK/History)". OAU : DSA issues fresh directive on departmental levies

By Olaiya Lateef k The Dean of the students' affairs just issued a 'fresh directive' to all faculties executives and at the level of department not to charge more than N500 for both fresh students and the returning students. This is contained  in a release signed by the dean, he however urged students that have paid more than the slated amount to report to the Department of students affairs, Obafemi Awolowo University, ile-ife
