I'm here to get first hand information says OAU VC

The Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo paid a 'surprise visit' to Adekunle Fajuyi Hall of Residence, the Hall is one of the male hostels in the University.
Prof. Ogunbodede who led some principal officers of the school including the Dean of students' affairs, Prof I. A Aransi to the hall of residence at about 5pm on Monday, The VC and his team were spotted at block 3 of the aforementioned Hall. The professor of Dentistry and his team were taken to a couple of places by the Hall Warden which need urgent attention particularly a spot where block 3 power supply is stationed, while inspecting the poor state of the spot, and the danger it might pose on the residents of the hall, The VC directs the Engineer, Mr Adeyeye to do the right thing.
While leaving the spot, about four journalists including the ACJ President, Mr Ogundokun Doyinmola met the Vice - Chancellor and some burning questions were asked by a journalist about the renovation of the hall particularly the halls that are yet to be renovated, The Vice Chancellor swiftly replied ; "About the renovation you asked, Federal government is not concerned about it, but we've seen some alumni who have taken up some halls,some of them have volunteered to take up renovation of female hostels, and we still need some sponsors to take up other halls of residence, you are a student of this school, if you also have a sponsor let us know ".
The Vice Chancellor also reacted to a question related to the issues of transportation, in his words ; " We're working on that, as you can see we've released two buses to cushion the effects of the transportation problem, the school is also working to provide more shuttles that will be conveying students. During my time, as an undergraduate about 40years ago some students were staying off campus and the school provided free transport for those students, if we get more shuttles we may also make it free for students ". When Socioscope correspondent asked about the security of lives and property of the students, some of his security aides and some students echoed " It's okay, Mr journalist may be next time ".
