Sheriff takes over PDP secretariat

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party , Senator Ali Modu Sheriff , has taken over the party ’ s national , secretariat in Abuja .
This was coming nine months after he was chased away from the premises by suspected hoodlums .
The former governor of Borno State was accompanied to the secretariat by some of his loyalists , including Senator Buruji Kashamu .

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
