OAU : proposed academic calendar surfaces

There has been anxiety among Obafemi Awolowo University students over the resumption date for the new academic session(2017/2018) . Indications from all angles suggest that the earlier date for the resumption which is April 3rd,and 16th for fresh students and returning students respectively might have been tampered based on some development in the institution. The university is yet to make official announcement to this effect. Below is the proposed academic calendar, as 'spotted' by our correspondent. Efforts to reach out to the Department of students' affairs proved abortive, as at the time of gathering this report.

    I'm just confused. Why is this release held in front of a system. Which notice board is that. It looks as though someone was holding it.

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm. Sri Lanka: Buddhist leader stokes anti-Muslim tension A manhunt is on in Sri Lanka for a hard-line Buddhist leader after a series of attacks on mosques and Muslim-owned businesses that authorities accuse him of encouraging.
