MOHANDAS GANDHI TO NIGERIA
POST COLONIAL SLAVERY

“The earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed”. GREED is the husband of CORRUPTION and CORRUPTION is the mother of all the atrocities that have been committed in Nigeria. Unless GREED is terminated, he would continue to impregnate CORRUPTION. Unless CORRUPTION is eliminated, she would continue to reproduce atrocities. If this couple is not deleted from your system, be it educational system, political system, judicial system, economic system, social system or whatever, then what you have read about atrocities in Nigeria is just a preface!

You have refused to send all your children to school while the ones you sent to school; you did not give them education (sound or dull). You kept on with the business of amassing wealth at the expense of your future. Embezzlement is one of your favorite professions. You are a specialist in bungling the implementation of policies that would favor your future. You want the best medical care when you are down but you have equipped none of your children to be able to provide it. Hence, you run back to your colonial masters for treatment. You are blessed with gifted children, male and female, in sports and games (football for instance) but GREED and CORRUPTION would counsel you to bring back the colonial masters to be their coaches and you would give in (opportunity to steal from your own treasury!). Financially speaking, one pound (£1) used to be two naira (#2) but today, the exchange rate is just too ridiculous. Your children are running away from you to your slave masters and even preferring also to be their slaves rather than being your own children because you are to them like a little hell on earth! You have mesmerized the educational system. Therefore, out of the millions of your children, you send only very few to the slave masters to get education while all the rest, you have sent to school for degradation (time wasting). You have polluted the political system. Therefore, every layman defines politics as a dirty game simply because they’ve seen how your representatives throw fists and chairs against one another. They’ve heard of how your senators use foul languages on each other and how some of your politicians (indeed!) fly over a shut gate and jump over the walls (thugs in suit and agbada). You have bastardized the judicial system. Lo and behold! You have illegalized legalities and then legalized illegalities. Your democracy has become a do or die affair and has turned your land into a jungle where only the fittest can survive. You only have little or zero regard for equal right and justice. Most of the Justices in your courts of law are intellectual monsters that are specialized in legalizing, rationalizing and justifying injustices. Your economic activities have been manacled by your managers and there’s no one to checkmate them (Not even one!). Great and dynamic economy indeed! Why don't you create a land of bright and full opportunities for all citizens as recorded in your National Policy on Education? You are seriously helping in growing your colonial masters’ economic activities by importing their goods. This wouldn’t have been a big deal if and only if you’ve grown, developed and improved yours. Has your land embarked on strike? So what happened to agriculture? Are your refineries on hibernation? So what’s happening to your crude oil? Don’t be so crude! The whole world is watching. The whole world is waiting. Wake up sleeping giant! Wake up giant of Africa!

I wish to challenge your religious leaders. Those sons of Gideon that have refused to wake up from their slumber and take up political responsibilities. To the sons of a great leader (Gideon) that have left the nation’s affair in the hands of Abimelech (that bastard) who was also the son of Gideon but from his concubine, I say to you, “Make hay while the sun still shines”… “Remember now your Creator while you are still young, before those dismal days and years come when you will say, ‘I don’t enjoy life’.” Abimelech had dipped his hands into your country’s treasury, got money out of it and used it to hire a bunch of worthless scoundrels who had joined him and helped him to gain power by force. Has he not done enough havoc? How many atrocities do you still want him to commit before you will let down a millstone on his head and fracture his skull? Do not discourage the Daniel of your generation from participating in political matters because as it was in the beginning so it is now. Feed your Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah (Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego) with the right, undiluted and powerful Word of God and let them loose to go where God needed them to function. Else, you would continue to preach faith when there is no work to establish it. Or do you want to go back to Egypt? If yes, then continue to preach that a true Christian must not be or cannot be a politician. But if your answer is no, then make them understand that our Creator is a Politician. Present God the Father to them as the One in charge of the Federal Government in His own realm. Make them see God the Son as the One in charge of the State Government. While God the Holy Spirit operates at the Local Government. Yet, they never and would never, ever quit politics because of Satan! Remember, you have told us of how war broke out in heaven. God (bigger than that) never took part in it but Michael (The one who stands before God) and his angels took part and they won by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of their testimony; and they were willing to give up their lives and die. Build men and women who would build your country and defend your cities because if you don’t, men and women would rise who would destroy your cities and take you back to Egypt. Take heed!
In conclusion, every Nigerian born at home or abroad, please bear with me on this. Eating your local food like amala, eba or tuwo with spoon like your slave masters does not make you become them. It rather shows how you have despised freedom and embraced civilized slavery in the 21st century. Embracing their faulty norms at the expense of your own amiable culture! Dying to speak like them, hug like them, kiss like them, report your parents to authorities like them, dress like them etc, but refusing to long for sound education would be tantamount to a resounding relegation to 4th world. At age 18, 20, 25, 30… you are still in love with video games, wasting away your time in front of a screen, twitting twaddle on twitter, showcasing your ignorance on facebook and always online on 2go, whatsapp etc, doing nothing worthwhile but chatting endlessly unnecessarily. Only a scalar quantity does that! Before I give you your time, note that, “Everybody has a dream but if you don’t build yours, others would hire you to build theirs.” Thanks for your time.
God bless the Giant of Africa
God bless Nigeria
