Those who wrote petition against Elujoba also Benefited from the "bonus" says ASUU OAU Caretaker Chairman

The atmosphere in OAU has being tensed for a couple of days over the detention of the immediate past Ag. Vice Chancellor, prof. Anthony Elujoba by the EFCC based on series of allegations of corruption which is said to be dangling on the neck of the former acting VC.

The ASUU OAU chapter, however throw their weight behind the former VC, as the Union sees the allegation with another lens, and berates the anti-graft agency for handling the issues lopsidedly, the ASUU, OAU chapter however resolved to embark on peaceful protest within the campus, and to also flood the court venue on Tuesday (11th of July, 2017).

While the caretaker chairman was briefing the press men in attendance, about their stand on the issues, the ASUU care taker said, " Those behind the petition against Elujoba also Benefited from the productivity bonus paid by Elujoba which was illegally kept somewhere by the past Administration, the chairman stressed further that none of the brains behind the petition dims it fit to return the allowance paid by the former acting VC.

The care-taker chairman however states the reasons behind their support for Elujoba, as he highlighted it as follow

That, before now oau has been wallowing in series of crisis which led to the dissolution of Governing Council, and this paved a way for the election of acting VC as instructed by  President, Muhammadu Buhari

That the election of Elujoba brought peace to the University community through out his less than a year in office

That, Elujoba improved the welfare condition of the workers and students while in office, and the students' union which was suspended by past administration was reinstated, while some workers that are due for promotion were promoted as well.

That, Anthony Elujoba paid the productivity bonus, which was illegally kept by the past administration while in office

That, Anthony Elujoba set up 37 facts finding task forces to unravel the corruption in the system before he assumed office

That EFCC should beam their search light into the reports of these task force(s) so as to know the Real thieves.

That, ASUU OAU chapter believes, that  the former acting VC didn't commit the allegations levelled against him.
