Delta confirms fresh cases of monkey pox

The Delta state government has confirmed three reported cases of suspected monkey pox disease in the state. The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Nicholas Azinge, made the disclosure Tuesday in Asaba at a media briefing, according to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN. Azinge said the suspected cases of the disease were currently under medical care at an undisclosed location in the state. “A total of three cases of suspected monkey pox disease have been reported in Delta state with no death recorded so far. “However, for now we cannot disclose the location of the victims for confidentiality reasons and in order not to cause panic in their areas. “The monkey pox is self-limiting disease with no specific treatment and no vaccine, meaning that no matter what you do, the disease will run out its course. “Because it is self-limiting, what we are doing is to treat manifested symptoms of the disease like rashes, headache, general body weakness etc. “However, t...

Kehinde Olamide Ogunwumiju is the youngest among the list of 30 lawyers’ shortlisted for the conferment of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN only at age 37. He is 12 years post-call and had dedicated his post call years to active advocacy and personal development. He is an associate in the firm of Afe Babalola & Co. Minister: Demolished Caramelo Club’s Land Re-allocated

Demolished Caramelo club in Jabi Abuja The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Bello, says the demolished Caramelo Lounge, a popular strip club, located at N0 630, TOS Benson Crescent, Utako District Abuja, has now become government property. The minister confirmed this development while fielding questions from State House correspondents at the end of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) which was presided over by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday. The Federal Capital Territory Development Authority (FCDA) through its Department of Development Control (DDC) had on Monday demolished the controversial Caramelo Lounge for allegedly contravening the FCT land use regulations. The FCDA authorities also revoked the Certificate-of-Occupancy (C-of-O) issued on the plot.
