Media Personality needs N15M for kidney transplant

Veteran broadcaster, Emmanuel Ugolee is currently in need of the sum of N15 million, money required as payment for the treatment of a kidney disease.
Linda Ikeji's Blog (LIB) reported that getting the amount has reached a point of great necessity as his present health condition has started to deteriorate.

Based on this, his representatives have set up an appeal to the the public in a bid to help him get financial assistance. A bank account and a gofundme page has been created in favour of this.

According to LIB, the initial sum he was meant to render as payment exceeded the N15 million mark, but thanks to the goodwill of the health organization where he is receiving treatment in the United States of America, the money was reduced to the current amount.

At the moment, he and his donor are at the stage of evaluation while his doctors make the necessary arrangement for the kidney transplant.

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
