OAU: DSA orders Students to Vacate Hostels, gives Conditions for...

The Division of Students Affairs Obafemi Awolowo University employs every legal occupants of Obafemi Awolowo University to vacate the hostel on or before 22nd February,2019.

However, Students on Teaching practice, SIWES/SWEP who are legal occupants and have indicated interest in staying in the Halls of Residence should report their bed space clearance of 2017/2018 session. Two Halls of Residence are however provided for those in the aforementioned category tentatively, these include :
 Female Students - Akintola hall
Male Students - Fajuyi Hall.
Lastly, Other students who have genuine reasons to stay should get letters from their various Heads of Department.
Students other than these categories found in the Halls will be treated as offenders.

9th Assembly: NASS Introduces Stringent Conditions For Journalists’ Accreditation

Ahead of the inauguration of ninth assembly, the National Assembly management has released 20 stringent conditions for journalists and media houses’ accreditation. In two separate letters addressed to the chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Press Corps on Monday by the Director of Information, Agada Emmanuel, the requirements were categorised under permanent and temporary accreditation. According to the letters, this new accreditation guidelines shall come into effect from June 11, 2019. The prerequisites for the coverage of the activities of the National Assembly before the expiration of the present leadership was also aimed at reducing the number of journalists covering the legislative arm.
