Cerebral Malaria is one of the most rarely talked about parasitic infection in this part of the world.
The World Health Organization (WHO), Cerebral Malaria is a clinical syndrome characterized by coma at least 1 hour after termination of a seizure or correction of a hypoglycemia, asexual forms of _Plasmodium Falciparum_  parasites on peripheral blood smears and no other cause to explain the coma.

Cerebral Malaria is the most severe neurological complication of malaria infection with _Plasmodium Falciparum_ in over 575,000 cases annually. It is most common in endemic areas of Africa, with Children of those regions at higher risk.

_CAUSES OF CEREBRAL MALARIA_
The most common organism is;
👉🏽 _Plasmodium Falciparum_, which is the most violent of the Plasmodium specie characterized by isolation of parasitized red blood cells in cerebral capillaries and Venules.
👉🏽 Untreated Malaria infection.

_SYMPTOMS OF CEREBRAL MALARIA_
In Adults, Cerebral Malaria is part of a multi organ disease.
