My Sad Story By Salau Olamide

My Sad Sorry Story

A day I will never forget that ruins my chances of ever being normal again. Called  me a Drama Queen but I would rather be that than anything else. On this said day...oh...the thought of it gives me chills, I'd wish I could purge the memory off me.
But before I continue with my tale, I'll not have you feeling sympathetic on my behalf because I take full responsibility for my actions on this unfortunate day. "Enough with the digression!" I tell my annoying heart, vengeful memory and fantastic pen.
My cousin, of whom I dearly love walked up to me that unfortunate day with a gloomy countenance informing me he had something of utmost importance to say. My cousin, who was known to be the bad egg in our family was my favorite family member apart from my siblings, of course. I was apprehensive when I saw the sad look on his face and I vowed to erase that look. If I had known I would have turned a blind eye at the expression and continue with my business.
I was with my friends on this said day, taking selfies and chatting about incessant topics as we were doing this to pass time, waitinging for our next class in two hours. If I had known, I would have listened to my friends' advices to stay back but I couldn't abandon my dear cousin.
He took me to a secluded place, a place I didn't know existed on campus since I was a finalist and was quite certain I knew every nook and cranny of the school. I was more astonished than alarmed at first when I became fully aware of the place. And then it came, the scary memory I wish I could erase. A voice so totally unlike my cousin but coming form him said which made me wet my pants
"I'm about to ask you something and your answer will determine what will happen to you so if I were you I will choose wisely"
I was left speechless that uttering a word became impossible. I could neither blink nor move my body for I was frozen in place. A shadow of fear overpowered me when I noticed other people joining our family meeting. Three hard-looking, hefty guys who belonged to the wrestling world and no where near the school's environs.
In my mind, I knew I was finished.
"How can I escape this?No one will hear my pathetic call for help here"
I stared blankly, accessing the newcomers. I looked at my cousin and wondered how he could sink low to lure his family member to be defiled for what? Money?Fame?. I had heard of stories of such but I find it difficult to believe this is really happening to me. I saw my life spread out before my very own eyes.
My cousin spoke again in that alien voice
"you understand?"
I forced myself to nod with my increasing willpower which I had no idea where it came from. My cousin nodded at the newcomers and they nodded back, passing a very private silent message. A deadly message I believe will be my doom but I decided I won't go down without a good fight.
My train of thought was broken when one of the newcomers was about to speak but my cousin took charge of the action movie in the voice I have come to dread "My question, think carefully before you answer, how much do they sell groundnut back home?"
What?!!!!!!!!!!!!
