Ritualists’ hideout and suspected kidnappers uncovered near Ondo Assembly

A building (uncompleted) suspected to be a den where  kidnappers and ritualistic perpetrate evil acts has been discovered in Alagbaka area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The building, located a few meters away from the Ondo State House of Assembly is said to be behind the popular government-owned events centre, the Gani Fawehinmi Arcade and owned by a retired civil servant in the state.
It was the residents of the area that discovered the abandoned building when they had a feeling that there are evil beings perpetrating evil deeds and numerous secret  activities on a daily basis in the building.
A resident of the area, who pleaded for anonymity, was quoted that the building has been abandoned for a long time and that a lot of people in the area did not know the owner.
He explained further that it was a security operative shot at a bird perched on a tree around the building that the hoodlums fled the area on hearing the gunshot thinking it was the Police that came for them.
It was with help of some commercial motorcyclist who gave them a hot chase that about four of the hoodlums were caught and later handed over to the Police.
When the building was visited, items of clothing littered the place; and they include women’s underwear, sandals, slippers, cooking utensils, mattresses, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, among other items. Also, a long rope was also found inside one of the rooms. The rope was tied to the ceiling of the building at one end, while the other end of the rope was knotted. Some planks were underneath the rope. The rope is suspected to be used for hanging their victims.
In his reaction, the Ondo State Police Public relation officer who confirmed the development, said many suspects have been arrested on the matter even though he didn't disclose the number, but hinted that they would be arraigned in court before the end of this week.
